We are kicking off activities this year with a campaign that supports Khan Foundation in raising the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Naira (N600,000.00) which is meant to procure three thousand (3,000) blocks that will build the new junior academy in Iwaya. The site for the new school has been identified and paid for. Now, planning for the actual work has begun in earnest, which is why we are initiating this campaign.

When this project is completed, the school will accommodate Two Hundred and Fifty (250) out-of-school children from within the Iwaya community and this can be seen as part of our efforts towards reducing the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria. “Even though primary education is officially free and compulsory, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school. Only 61 percent of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school and only 35.6 percent of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education.” – culled from UNICEF.

This effort (as part of our support for and partnership with Khan Foundation) is our contribution to bringing education to many more children who need the exposure that good education brings with it. In addition to the exposure these children will get, this project will be a part contribution to meeting with the United Nations’ SDG Goal 4, which is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” – United Nations.

We do hope you are excited to be part of this project and humbly ask that you make a donation to bring to fruition a dream that will go on to inspire hope with the children of Iwaya. Do find below ways through which you can make a contribution:
